A lot is going on in January, starting with the Palm Springs International Film Festival. We have a major golf tournament, a wine festival, many concerts, and some great art exhibits. EVENTS

 

Palm Springs International Film Festival - Jan 5-16

 

Now in its 34th year, the Palm Springs International Film Festival is the first big awards show of the season and returns as an in-person event for the first time since 2020. The star-studded gala that kicks off the event will be hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Keven Frazier & Nischell Turner and will feature the presentation of The Spotlight Award to actor Brendan Fraser.

The American Express Golf Tournament - Jan 16-22

 

The American Express Golf Tournament returns for its 64th year at the Pete Dye-designed Stadium Course at PGA West in La Quinta. Known as one of the country's more challenging public courses, the tournament has recently increased in popularity due to the Amex Concert Series, which brings top-name musical acts to the tournament. This year’s featured artists are three-time Grammy winner Gwen Stefani and Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker.

Palm Spring Pinot Noir Festival - Jan 27-28

 

Back for its third year, this two-day festival is the largest Pinor Noir-focused tasting event in Southern California! Held at the Westin Rancho Mirage, this event offers the opportunity to sample excellent wines from over 75 winemakers, a luncheon, wine-paring dinners, and a grand tasting experience!

Paradise Road Show - Jan 27-29

 

Love classic cars, hot rods, and motorcycles? This is the event for you! The Ace Hotel hosts this event, where you’ll find a classic car show, a swap meet, and dancing at the after-party each evening. Oh, and don’t forget the pie-eating contest.

Palm Springs HealthRun & Wellness Festival - Jan 28

 

Now one of the most significant events of its kind in Southern California, this festival has grown to include over 100 health and wellness booths showcasing the latest in nutrition and fitness. The festival offers something for every fitness level, including a 1K Fun Run, a 5K run, and a 10K run. Routes start at Ruth Hardy Park and include scenic routes through some of Palm Springs’ most beautiful neighborhoods.

CHEER ON THE FIREBIRDS!

 

The Coachella Valley Firebirds, our first professional sports team, has been a big hit with local hockey fans! With over 5,000 season tickets sold, and rowdy fans cheering for the home team in the brand-new Acrisure Arena, the team has games scheduled through mid-April next year.

Jim Egan ICONS Exhibit - Jan 8-22
